The Liberty Tree (Rebellious Stripes) - America's First Flag

GOAL IV:Tell The "Liberty Tree" Story in Classrooms Across The Land

Classroom Membership sponsored by the "Liberty Tree" Society, brings the story of the "Liberty Tree" to our young students. This engaging narrative, "Whatever Happened to America’s Liberty Tree?", skillfully weaves fact-filled history with a  measure of plausible speculation. Line drawings (suitable for coloring) highlight the events as the story unfolds and color plates bring historical moments into sharp focus.

Project includes a 3 ft. Liberty Elm and bronze plaque to be installed on school grounds upon completion of the course.

In addition to study of historical aspects of the "Liberty Tree", students will get hands-on experience by planting and caring for an American Liberty Elm.

Teacher’s guide is included with grade appropriate exercises in vocabulary, comprehension and recall, imaginative experience recreation, guest speakers, role playing - with costumes and geography.
